Jiajing Six-Character Mark
The cup has very deep upright sides flaring slightly at the rim，and is raised on a footring. The exterior is painted in rich shades of underglaze blue with a scholar sitting on the rock under the pine tree to show a wide landscape. The landscape and figure are painted between a double-circle at the mouth rim and a band of petal lappets at the bottom. The interior is similarly decorated with a sitting scholar in a medallion. The base is inscribed with six-character Jiajing mark in a circle.
